Saskatchewan midget female aaa hockey league

Teams play a 28 game league schedule and playoffs.

The league champion advances to Regionals versus the Manitoba rep, with the Regional winner representing the West at the national midget championship the Esso Cup. SFMHL teams will also play tournaments and or exhibition games to supplement its schedule.

As per league bylaw 6.

Any player who has played and is registered by a member team may not play for any other member team during the current year or following year s without a release. No team official of a Hockey Canada Branch AAA team shall encourage indirectly, or invite in a direct manner, a registered member of another Hockey Canada AAA team from the current or previous season, without first having secured permission in writing.

Teams are allowed to affiliate 19 players; made up of 17 skaters and 2 goalies. For other Midget AAA teams, they may affiliate from their Minor Hockey Association and six 6 players whose parents reside within a km radius of their sponsoring center with the exception of any sponsoring center of another AAA team from their respective league.

Players shall be restricted to playing only ten 10 games as an affiliate all season until the team they are registered with has completed their season, upon which time they may play the remainder of the season with their affiliate team. Permanent affiliates are not permitted.

As per SHA bylaw 6. Tournament fees as well as playoff expenses may or may not be included in the registration fee.

All teams will assist in finding accommodations for each player. Billet fees are set by the team and are paid by the parent.

A release may be granted either as; Where the release requested by the Player is Granted by the member club of which she is registered. Where the release requested by the Player is Denied by the member club of which she is registered.
